Rheingau Gourmet & Wine Festival (earch year in March)

For more than 17 years the RHEINGAU GOURMET & WINE FESTIVAL has set the standard for culinary enjoyment of the highest quality. The best cooks, both national and international, present culinary art in perfection, the famous winegrowers show their superb wines, and all of this is perfectly coordinated and takes place in a beautiful atmosphere.

The festival takes place each year during the last week of February and the first week of March, its programme comprises around 50 events within 14 days: cooking shows and cooking demonstrations in the morning, gourmet menus with special topics and corresponding accompanying wine at noon, wine tastings in the afternoon, gala dinners with national and international three-star cook celebrities in the evenings. The wine-growing estates are represented respectively by their owners and/or winemakers in person. At the beginning and at the festival’s end a party with 450 guests will take place: live cooking with ten star cooks, 20 wine stands and three live bands.

The percentage of seats sold of the events amounts to approx. 95 %, all in all a total of around 6,500 guests takes part in the festival each year.
